Overview About Green Lentils

Lentil production in Turkey has an important place in the world. Green lentils is grown in Sungurlu, Corum, Yozgat, Konya, Tokat and Ankara.

Lentil must be solid, all, well dried. It should not contain insecticides, chemical waste, moisture, foreign taste and smell.

It should not be moldy, rotten, sprouted grains or thrown shells. Old and new product should not be mixed.

In green lentil, moisture content must be 14% and the amount of damaged grain should not exceed 3%.
